RFSS was founded utilizing a team of engineers that bring over 70 years of DRFM, Radar, ECM and RF Simulator design, combined with the business acumen of AEI Technical, a company with an 18 year history of providing manufacturing, distribution and staffing services to the defense, aerospace, and telecommunications industries. This combination of technical expertise and business knowledge is a critical component in RFSS's quest to become the world's premier supplier of DRFMs, Radar Target Generators, and Radar Environment Simulators.

 

RFSS Team History

 

RFSS’s team brings over 70 years of experience in the area of Radar and RF Simulation systems. Just in the past four (4) years, RFSS’s technical team developed 3 advanced DRFM models and delivered 25 RF simulator systems. This same team has designed and developed approximately 90% of the world’s DRFM based Radar Environment Simulators since 1990. This team has developed the highest fidelity Digital RF Memories in the industry along with the highest functionality Radar Environment Simulators.  Their current system designs utilized the highest level of COTS and open Architecture in the industry, improving reliability, ease of maintenance, while utilizing the latest technologies available without burdening their customers with large amounts of expensive non-recurring engineering.  RFSS is the leader in low cost, fast delivery, and high performance systems for radar and seeker testing.

 

AEI Technical History

  

AEROSPACE INDUSTRY

 

For over 15 years AEI provided alignment engineering support and technical staffing support to clients including Hughes, Boeing, Raytheon, Spectralab, and PCI.

 

ALIGNMENT ENGINEERING: AEI supported the world's leading satellite manufacturers with expert support in the area of Alignment Engineering. AEI staff was responsible for the accurate positioning of satellite compenents using surveying and geomatics engineering principles. Operations include establishing datums and coordinate systems, gathering and adjusting data, and aligning compents.

 

DEPLOYMENT ENGINEERING: Deployable spacecraft systems are designed to operate in space without the effects of gravity, and cannot withstand the forces put on them when deployed on earth. To ensure correct operation of these systems in orbit, a "zero-g" emulation of the conditions experienced in space is required. With strong engineering background and extensive experience, AEI provided engineering solutions and technical support in the unique field.

 

TECHNICAL STAFFING: As a Technical Services staffing firm, AEI Technical placed trained technical staff at California's Defense and Aerospace leaders: from the world's biggest aerospace companies, to the designers, fabricators and integrators of specialized parts and systems. AEI staff ranged from entry level assemblers to highly trained alignment engineers.

 

TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANUFACTURING: AEI-Telecommunications provided “rack and stack” manufacturing for a wide variety of tele­communication components. The AEI team developed the “DSL” business case for SBC and worked with a variety of start-ups and leading edge technologies. AEI provided turn-key EFI (Engineer, Furnish and Install) services at Central Office, Remote Terminals and Customer Premises.
